What is the Cc-field then?
The Cc-field (carbon copy) does not hide the
addresses but works just like the To-field. It is commonly
used as a FYI-field. This distinction is not necessarily
something that everyone agrees on, so just think of it as
another To-field.
At some workplaces a meeting invitation can be sent out to
five people, and then others be informed about the meeting
in the Cc-field, but not invited. This is not always clear
and not recommended.
